Lonely and Peaceful. Those were the only worldly descriptions I could muster describing Christmas air. Somehow I could imagine what happened to him.

As far as I know, “All I Want for Christmas is You” has been consistent in topping the charts when Billboard incorporated digital sales. It’s also one of the most played Christmas songs ever.

its almost too scary, but the scene you describe reminds me of a story told to me by a friend about his fiance's grandfather who killed himself to "blue christmas" by elvis. i briefly summed it up here (where i also link to mariah's "all i want for christmas is you", but never knew it was the most downloaded xmas tune till i read your recent post of her doing "o holy night", so thank you for posting that!).
