Poetry

My literary attempts…

After the Storm

Swaying dandelions
Wind weeps, thunder roars
Dappled light

Close my Eyes

Close my eyes and lemme sleep
Heed my cries, pull me to slumber deep
Lay your fine hands on me,
Haul me to ceaseless sea

For what good is life without flare
When ravens drop its radiant flair
And sultry woods turn to frigid coal
And in the eyes gone was the soul

Cold as mountain devoid of dew
No summer breeze to caress, no hue
Music, gone the harmony
To fading wind flees the melody

Rains tumble like autumn leaves in starless night
Glimpse of buoyant glare sky, pushing up daisies light
I am the Earth that surmount its salt, bitter and sweet
I am the Sun that lays aside on down distant east

Nearin’ the edge of heartbeat I lick the salt from my tears
Get wind of nothing but the Abyss whispering on my ears
Free the butterflies from their shield & make them sweep
Then close my eyes and lemme sleep

Intoxication

There you are
Mirage in bouyant glare
Blinding me
I lay a hand on you
Nothing

Oblivion

Drying petals on my hands
tenderly I held them close
to my heart and thought I can
hold them forever, I suppose
I let dead crimson roses fall
to waters and be drifted away
by the wind to unknown shores
so I could fly away

Redemption

A river hums
Like a dead song in silent night
So I listen to the rhythm of its flow
Like a pulled object I went by its side
to feel the majesty of its rush
the grace of its hands
Slowly I went down and down
Till the chill of water cuts my skin
And the flesh bleeds inside
Till I drink the water of its wrath
At the West I seek for a boat

Like a weightless leaf I float
Like a weightless leaf I float
This is inspired by the novel “THE HOURS” particularly the scene where Virginia Woolf let herself drowned in the river

Requiem

Shimmering lights that blind
My eyes in the dark
Loopholes of water sweet and kind
In midst of coffee bark

Bitter rain pours
Thunder rolls
Gray sky hovers with howls
Leaves fall, the wind roars

Lights muffle before my eyes
The birds are gone
All there is a distant cry
Everything is done

The Man and the Sun

Sit by the sea a man
Wandering in wonderland
Clueless of what may come
Feet covered by sand
He gazed at merry rays of the sun
Intoxicated by its charm
Time fluttered the air grew heavy
And the man didn’t discern any
Of things he didn’t and couldn’t understand
Cuz he is allured by the sun
So he walked through the shore
With uneven sand his fingers bore
Caressing its silkiness on his palm
As he gazed to the sun
Walk and walk
To the sun he talked
“Embrace me with your light
Take me to paradise and hold me tight”
But the sun bid him goodbye
And the man did nothing but cry
As yellow turned to orange and red
To violet, black and dead
Even the robins gone fly
They flapped back to the sky
Waves got tired and went back to the deep
There they went to sleep
So the man went home
To his room alone
Then he seek for the moon
But it closed its eyes too soon
